Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Eli Ankou was activated from the team's physically unable to perform list on Friday and returned to practice.

Ankou had been sidelined since July 24 by a calf injury.

Ankou, 28, recorded nine tackles and one sack in five games with the Bills last season. He also had three tackles during one game with the Tennessee Titans in 2021.

He has 43 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 33 career games (three starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-18), Cleveland Browns (2019), Dallas Cowboys (2020), Titans and Bills.
