Complexity announced Monday that Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar has joined the organization as a content creator and part owner.
Complexity's parent company, GameSquare, has issued 5 million options to TimTheTatman that will vest over the three-year term of the agreement, according to a report by EsportsInsider.com.
TimTheTatman, 31, is one of the biggest names in the gaming scene. He recently moved from Twitch to YouTubeGaming, where he joined the likes of Guy "DrDisrespect" Beahm, Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop and Ben "DrLupo" Lupo.
TimTheTatman recently traveled to Texas to visit with Complexity, and also had the opportunity to meet with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. That helped convinced him to choose Complexity among the several organizations the streamer said he spoke with.
"Joining the Complexity team has been an amazing journey," TimTheTatman said in a release. "I've followed Complexity's success and I am impressed with their commitment to winning in top-tier esports and the loyalty of their fans.
"The connection with the Dallas Cowboys and the support of Jerry Jones is outstanding. I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan so this is a special opportunity within esports. My tour of the Complexity headquarters at the Star in Frisco was world-class; no esports facility comes close."
TimTheTatman also announced that he will be in Frisco, Texas on Sunday for a pop-up merch shop and Dallas Cowboys viewing party.
"When Complexity and GameSquare invited me to join the team, it was an easy yes," TimTheTatman said. "(Complexity founder and CEO) Jason Lake has built an amazing team at Complexity and (Gamesquare CEO) Justin Kenna is building something special at GameSquare. I am excited to get started."
