He hasn't caught a pass from Deshaun Watson yet, but Randall Cobb said the Texans quarterback reminds him of one former teammate: Aaron Rodgers.

Cobb agreed to terms with the Texans last week, heading to Houston after eight seasons in Green Bay, with a detour to Dallas with the Cowboys in 2019. He took part in a conference call with local media on Friday morning and Cobb shared his thoughts on his new quarterback.

"I've been really impressed from afar, watching him," Cobb said. "He's a winner. He's won at every level. High school, to college. He has that ability to take us to a Super Bowl, and I want to be a part of something special with him."

Cobb is coming off a season in which he averaged a career-best 15.1 yards per catch. He finished with 55 receptions for 828 yards and three scores. In the five Packer seasons he started eight games or more, Cobb hauled in an average of 867 yards and nearly seven touchdowns per season.

He was the slot receiver for Rodgers, and enjoyed his finest year in 2014, catching 91 passes for 1,287 and a dozen scores. He described what he did for Rodgers and what he can do now for Watson.

"A lot of what he did was late in the play," Cobb said. "Scrambling around, moving around and just being able to find ways to get open after the initial route and create separation and be a target and find a way to get open for him in those situations."
