San Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been declared out of Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks due to right shoulder soreness.
It will be just the fifth game the 34-year-old has missed this season.
The seven-time All-Star is averaging 18.8 points and leads the team in rebounding average (7.5) and blocked shots (83).
The Spurs recalled forward Luka Samanic from Austin of the G League. The 6-foot-11 Croatian, who turned 20 last month, is averaging 15.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in 32 games (31 starts).
San Antonio enters play Wednesday 3 1/2 games behind the eighth-place Memphis Grizzlies in the battle for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
